Headup and Nicolas Meyssonnier have confirmed a release date for Pumpkin Jack on Nintendo Switch.

This Unreal Engine 4-developed “comically creepy” 3D platformer takes inspiration from MediEvil and Jak & Daxter, and sees you embody Jack, the mythical Pumpkin Lord.

When the Devil becomes enraged about the peaceful Boredom Kingdom with its happy citizens, monotonous calm and adorable little bunnies, he unleashes the dreadful Curse of the Eternal Night upon the land.

In response, the humans summon a mighty wizard with the power to put an end to the evil curse as their saviour. And, to prevent them from succeeding, the Devil summons the spirit of Jack to fight against the wizard’s army of beasts and destroy the wizard.

You must tear your way through fright-filled levels, exploring otherworldly landscapes as you help Evil annihilate the Good. That will require that you master the arts of dodging, timing and movement to vanquish your foes, as well as solving puzzles that focus on physics, gravity and reflection.

Pumpkin Jack will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 23rd October 2020.
