Capcom were at Anime Expo 2016 this weekend, and, as part of their plans, a panel with producer Motohide Eshiro was held to discuss Nintendo 3DS exclusive Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice.
That has revealed that Maya Fey will make a return, although, after a quick reintroduction, she soon becomes caught up in a crime in the Kingdom of Khura’in where she has been in training. It will be up to Phoenix to demonstrate his skills in the Khura’inese court system in an effort to save his long-time friend.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies debutante Athena Cykes will also appear, the rookie attorney to support Apollo with her ability to psychoanalyse emotions to help uncover the truth with her Mood Matrix program.
New to the series is pious prosecutor Nahyuta Sahdmadhi, who Capcom describe as “a devout monk who can often be heard admonishing his rivals with the phrase ‘Satorha!'” He holds an international license to practise law, meaning that he can prosecute both in Khura’in and abroad in America. Nahyuta uses unique religious rituals to seeks justice for the victims of heinous crimes, so that their souls may rest in peace.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit Of Justice will release as a digital download on the Nintendo eShop exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in North America and Europe this September, priced at £24.99 (€29.99 / $29.99).
