BioWare is not ready to rule out porting Mass Effect Legendary Edition to Nintendo Switch, even if it sounds like it won’t be happening any time soon.

When Eurogamer asked whether the remastered trilogy could ever come to the portable home console, project director Mac Walters shared enthusiasm for the idea in his response: “Personally, I’d love it. But ultimately, I think we had a path set and it was like, let’s finish that, then let’s see sort of where we’re at.”

With Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC prioritised in early development, it could be that, as with Apex Legends, Electronic Arts turns to a porting specialist such as Panic Button or Virtuos to let you realise your ambition of experiencing BioWare’s galactic space opera on the go.

The Mass Effect Legendary Edition comes packed with the single-player base content and more than 40 story, weapon and armour downloadable content packs from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition will release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, with forward compatibility on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, on 14th May 2021.
