The new Mythical Pokémon Marshadow has been officially revealed for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.

It cannot be encountered in normal gameplay, with The Pokémon Company promising to share more details on how Trainers can get the Mythical Pokémon at a later date.

The Gloomdweller Pokémon’s existence had, somewhat unsurprisingly, been discovered early on after the Alolan region adventure was data mined. It is a Fighting and Ghost-type Pokémon and has the ability Technician, which boosts moves with a base power of 60 or less by 50 percent.

Marshadow becomes the second Mythical Pokémon to appear in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, with the first being the Artificial Pokémon Magearna – which had been created by humans 500 years ago.

It had appeared in Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, and was later distributed using a QR Code. Magearna was Level 50, had the Soul-Heart ability and the moves Flash Cannon, Fleur Cannon, Lucky Chant, and Helping Hand.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are now available exclusively for Nintendo 3DS worldwide.
