Mario Tennis Aces Pre-Launch Online Tournament Hits The Court On June 1st

Nintendo has announced when the free Mario Tennis Aces pre-launch online tournament will take place on Nintendo Switch.

You can hit the court from 3pm BST on Friday 1st until 11.59pm BST on Sunday 4th June, with the chance to play as Mario, Peach, Yoshi and Bowser in online multiplayer matches in a tournament format.

As you advance through the tournament stages, you will earn points based on your performance and, once you have gained enough points, you can unlock another five characters.

You will also have the chance to play one-off single-player tennis battles against a computer-controlled opponent, for those wanting to get some practice in.

Those that download and play the Mario Tennis Aces pre-launch online tournament will be rewarded with the chance to unlock a free Mario costume to use in the full game, where he is wearing his traditional dungarees.

Mario Tennis Aces will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on June 22nd.
