As the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Games get underway this week, Nintendo have announced that they have temporarily discounted SEGA’s game tie-in, Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

This sees you able to download the Wii U exclusive through the Nintendo eShop at a 30% discount from tomorrow (Friday 7th February), with such offer running through until 23:59 GMT on Sunday 9th February.

We scored the sports crossover in our review, writing: “It is inconsistency in approach that ultimately mars Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, resulting in a tepid experience that fails to provide the necessary drive to elevate the series beyond that which has come before. Confusing decisions hamper this further although families who enjoyed previous titles will find that there is fun to be had, just expect to have seen most of what waits for you here before.”
