Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games announced for Wii U and 3DS

Nintendo and SEGA have reignited the rivalry between their characters, with Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games having been announced in today’s Japan-only Nintendo Direct.

The announcement trailer revealed that Nabbit will join as a playable character, also highlighting sports that you can compete in such as the 100m sprint, table tennis, football, rugby, beach volleyball, hooping and golf.

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will release exclusively for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in Japan.
