The rumour has swirled for months on end, but today we can catch the first glimpse at Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
Presumably being prepared as a surprise in the Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 video presentation, key artwork for the Nintendo Switch exclusive has now leaked online.
WWG were able to confirm the authenticity of the artowrk with their sources at Ubisoft, and have since published the full-size version as you see below.
This comes after Kotaku added more weight to the rumour earlier this month, after an undisclosed source shared art assets for the crossover RPG.
It is believed to be scheduled to release in August and has been developed using Ubisoft’s proprietary Snowdrop engine. With turn-based combat, two-player local co-op and general silliness, there will be eight playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach and four Rabbids dressed up as the Mushroom Kingdom characters.
We have also previously heard that composer Grant Kirkhope was involved with the Mushroom Kingdom mash-up, who will be known to many for his work on Banjo-Kazooie, Viva Piñata and, most recently, Yooka-Laylee.
