With the news that Nintendo is set to publish Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle in Japan and North Korea, Ubisoft has revealed that the game has become the best-selling third-party release on Nintendo Switch.

That is based on the retail data that has been gathered from NPD US & Canada, NPD Australia, GSD, and GFK since the portable home console’s launch in March, and, while there hasn’t been that much competition, it’s certainly promising to hear.

In the coming months, Nintendo Switch owners can look forward to third-party games such as FIFA 18, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, One Piece: Unlimited World Red – Deluxe Edition, WWE 2K18, and DOOM.

We enjoyed our jaunt across the Mushroom Kingdom, concluding in our review: “Whether you still struggle to comprehend the unexpected collision that the irreverent Rabbids have had with the Mushroom Kingdom or not, in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Ubisoft Milan readily proves at every turn that even the wackiest ideas can result in a sensational experience. With infectious humour, it will soon win you over to prove itself absolutely unmissable.”

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide and will see release in Japan and Korea on January 18th.
