Mario, Luigi and Link content announced for Monster Hunter 4

Nintendo broadcast a Monster Hunter 4 Direct over the weekend, revealing details of the previously teased collaboration.

As expected, this takes the form of Nintendo-themed bonus content. Having brainstormed as to how Mario and Luigi could be represented in the Monster Hunter universe, the end result seeing a set of humorous Felyne costumes that will be distributed at 7-11 stores across Japan.

Meanwhile, the Nintendo 3DS exclusive will also see The Legend of Zelda series represented through Hunter armour inspired by Hylian hero Link. This will be accompanied by the Master Sword and Hylian Shield, which matches the game’s sword and shield combat option, as well as an extravagant bow for those that prefer long-range attacks. Distribution regarding the Zelda content is to be announced at a later date.
