Nintendo has released a software update for Mario Kart World, which now sees the game on version 1.1.0.
This has added support for network functionality such as Camera Play, Online, LAN Play and to upload or download ghosts in Time Attack.
The number of characters that you can select from the start has been increased, and you will now see on-screen icons to show when other players are nearby in Free Roam.

- Enabled CameraPlay.
- A compatible USB camera (sold separately) is required for CameraPlay.
- Players can turn camera ON or OFF in Multiplayer and Online Play modes.
- When the camera is ON, the player’s face is displayed during the race.

- From the title screen if you press the L Stick and hold both the L Button and R Button, Wireless Play will change to LAN Play.
