Watch_Dogs retained pole position to claim its fifth number one spot in this week’s UK sales chart, although Nintendo can celebrate success.

While the overall market dropped and sales of many key games fell, Mario Kart 8 showed that it still had plenty left in the tank to see sales speed boost by 31 percent allowing it to climb to tenth place.

Elsewhere, Pokémon Black and Pokémon White made a surprise return lower down the charts with 127 and 110 percent sales increases respectively, thanks to retailers discounting the Nintendo DS releases.
