Mario Kart 8 scores a win at British Academy Children’s Awards


Mario Kart 8 boosted past the competition to achieve a win at the British Academy Children’s Awards.

Nintendo’s furiously addictive kart racer beat out the other nominees in the Game in 2014 category, with the other contenders being Media Molecule’s Tearaway, Ubisoft’s Rayman Legends and the company’s own Pokémon X & Y.

However Nintendo lost out in the BAFTA Kids’ Vote – Game in 2014 category, where last year’s Pokémon adventure was beaten to the podium by the enormously popular Minecraft.
