Nintendo has released a new software update for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, that sees the kart racer now on version 1.7.1.
This minor update has fixed an issue where the game could become unresponsive to any input aside from the HOME Button. And, as always, you will need to download the update to continue playing online.

- After you download the latest update data, you will no longer be able to play over local wireless or LAN with others until they download the update as well.
