With Battle Mode set to make a triumphant comeback in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, we appear to have learned more on how Nintendo will expand what was seen on Wii U.

NeoGAF uncovered a blunder made by Nintendo Poland, where the subsidiary had accidentally shared more assets for the kart racer than they had meant to.

This has revealed five Battle Mode game type icons, namely being: Shine Runners (or Shine Thief), Coin Rush, Balloon Battle, Bob-omb Blast and a new game type that involves the Piranha Plant item. After the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017, only Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast were confirmed for the newly “revamped Battle Mode.”

The souped-up Nintendo Switch version includes every track from the Wii U version including downloadable content, adds new courses to compete on in Battle Mode like Urchin Underpass and Battle Stadium, expands the character roster with Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr., three new vehicles, the Boo and Feather items, the ability to carry two items at the same time, and a Smart Steering feature that will help players keep on the track even at 200cc.

Nintendo added that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will allow up to four players to compete on their TV screen, up to eight players over Local Wireless, and up to 12 players in Online Multiplayer.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch in Europe and North America on April 28th.
