Mario Golf: World Tour introduces global multiplayer tournaments

Mario Golf: World Tour took a brief turn under the spotlight today, during the latest Nintendo 3DS Direct.

You’ll be able to compete against worldwide players through the Nintendo Network, with friend and theme communities making a return following their success within Mario Kart 7.

These will allow players to set special conditions to their matches, such as using traditional golf rules, adding competitive time limits, or creating tournaments where everyone must play as Luigi.

Mario Golf: World Tour will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS during summer.
