SEGA has announced that Mario and Sonic at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will release on Nintendo Switch, the crossover sports and party game letting players compete on the portable home console.

This comes after the several games that were released for Wii, Nintendo DS, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS, that, licensed by the International Olympic Committee, sees characters from the Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog universes compete in Olympic events.

That can see you use the Joy-Con to run in the 100m sprint although the reveal trailer shows the game being played with the controllers attached in Handheld mode. There will also be an arcade version.

Mario And Sonic At The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Winter 2019.
