The Pokémon Company International has revealed early purchases bonuses for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl on Nintendo Switch.
First up, players will be able to receive a Manaphy Egg that can be hatched in-game until 21st February 2022 by selecting Get via internet in the Mystery Gift feature. The publisher warns that it “takes approximately two hours of play time before the Mystery Gift feature is unlocked.”
Those that buy the game(s) digitally before 21st February 2022 will be emailed a code for 12 in-game Quick Balls, with another warning “that the code will expire on 2/21/2022 at 4:59pm PT.”
Lastly, those that choose to buy the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl Dual Pack bundle will receive a code for 200 in-game Poké Balls. You will receive two codes, each for 100 Poké Balls, that can only be used one time per save file.
The Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl remakes are developed by ILCA, with ILCA’s Yuichi Ueda and Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda directing the project, fans are promised the chance “to experience the original story and game features from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl in a fresh way.”
Trainers will choose either Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup to be their first partner Pokémon before setting off on their journey. Along the way, they will be able to encounter the Legendary Pokémon Dialga in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and the Legendary Pokémon Palkia in Pokémon Shining Pearl.
The original games have been faithfully reproduced and colourfully revitalised for Nintendo Switch. The sense of scale of the towns and routes has been carefully preserved, and fans who played the original games will recognize many familiar places. These games are updated with the easy-to-understand, player-friendly conveniences introduced in recent Pokémon core series video games, in addition to up-close-and-personal Pokémon battle scenes.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 19th November 2021.
