Orange Pixel has announced that their challenging platformer Meganoid will release on Nintendo Switch this week.

With procedurally-generated levels based on a set of templates, you must must make your escape from a space ship with security drones hot on your heels.

It’s up to you whether you rush for the exit or collect every item that you can along the way. These can be used to enhance your abilities, with items such as a jetpack that will let you fly around, anti-gravity which allow you to perform double jumps, and more.

There are hidden bonus areas to discover and unlock, while the game world itself is hackable. You can recover green key cards that can be used to modify specific elements of the game act and respond to you. That could see you deactivate rocket launchers, reduce the range of the rockets or make the robots that you destroy drop extra lives.

Meganoid will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 8th September 2020.
