Console Labs and Games Operators have announced that Radio Commander will release on Nintendo Switch this week.

With the promise that this is “not just another real-time strategy game,” you play as an American military commander serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Watching over the battlefield, you will receive situation reports in the form of dramatic radio statements from troops fighting on the ground. With a strategic map as your only accessory, you must place tokens and make notes to help determine crucial decisions that will lead them to victory.

Your choices have a direct impact on the course of the game, whether that be sending evac choppers to rescue your troops or coating the forest with napalm.

That will see you “answer tough questions about the righteousness of your actions, the price of human life and the toxic power of propaganda and stereotypes.”

Radio Commander will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 11th January 2021.
