Majora’s Mask menacingly appears in Poland’s New Year celebrations

We’re looking forward to The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D as much as everyone else, but as Poland counted down to the New Year revellers were unexpectedly met with a reference to the Nintendo 64 classic.

The celebrations took place at Bialystok’s Kościuszko Square, where, as a singer waved a flare at the excitable crowd, the musicians behind him were backdropped by what is unmistakably Majora’s Mask.

As to whether there was any meaning, or acknowledgement, behind the choice is unclear, and I’ll blame my none existent Polish language prowess for not knowing more. Still, it was an interesting appearance to spot, and nicely timed…

[Thanks GoNintendo]
