Pitched as an “adorable cottagecore collect-a-thon platforming adventure,” you play as a newly minted Mail Scout on their first day on the job. Set in a peaceful forest far far away, equipped with a mushroom hat, a pack full of letters and your unbridled enthusiasm, you must deliver packages to those who call the Grumblewood Grove home.
You will need to run, jump, glide, and bounce onto mushrooms or branches to discover dilapidated delivery routes and collect special bottle caps that are hidden throughout the game’s eight locations. There’s also the chance to personalise your Mail Scout with more than 46,000 combinations between their pronouns, colours, hair style, mailbag, clothing and skin tone.
“Mail Time is now one delivery stop closer to release! I hope everyone at The Game Awards enjoyed their animated trailer package,” explains Mail Time creator Kela Van Der Deijl. “I am stoked that Freedom Games is helping bring my life’s work to both the Nintendo’s and PlayStation cozy communities. Everyone get your fuzziest socks and your warmest cup of hot chocolate, Mail Time is on its way to your doorstep next spring.”
Mail Time will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in April 2023.
