Electronic Arts will continue to support Nintendo Switch with FIFA 19, but they have yet to present portable home console players with the chance to achieve gridiron greatness.

E3 2018 brought the news that Madden 19 would skip Nintendo’s hybrid console, and, when asked as to why, the explanation given was that it is “what’s best” for the game.

“We always think about every platform out there. It’s really a decision of what’s best for Madden and us as EA and where we’re going,” Madden 19 producer Ben Haumiller explained to GameSpot.

“You never rule out getting your game in front of players. you want to go where everyone is. We’d never rule it out. We just don’t have any current plans right now.”

Madden 19 will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 10th.
