Mad Dog McCree set for Nintendo eShop

Mad Dog McCree has his sights set on Nintendo eShop, it has been confirmed.

Ruud van de Moosdijk, vice president of development at Engine Software BV, explained that the developer had approached publisher Digital Leisure regarding its potential release through the Nintendo 3DS service.

“We got in touch with them and said you know, Mad Dog McCree, you guys own the license, how about a 3DS version?”, van de Moosdijk explained.

Whilst the game will retain its classic FMV-based gameplay, it won’t utilise the glasses-free stereoscopic 3D of the handheld. “It’s all full motion video, there’s really no 3D in the 3DS version because how were you gonna do that?”, he clarified.

Although no release date was provided, Moosdijk stated that it would be coming “very soon”.
