Lynel Echo Location in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

The Lynel is the strongest echo that you can create in Echoes of Wisdom, and we’re here to help you unlock it.

It was the rumour-spreading priest inside Northern Sanctuary that first pointed me in its direction, revealing that he had heard that a “particularly dangerous monster” dwells in a quiet forest to the northwest of the church. He advised that if I spotted any “especially menacing tracks,” I shouldn’t follow them.

With such secrets spilled, you will want to head inside the Eternal Forest which is located to the northwest of Hyrule Castle. Once there, what you want to look out for are hoof prints that the Lynel has left in the mud patches – the first of which you should immediately come across to the north, shortly after you pass the first warp point.

When you have found your starting point, you simply want to walk in the direction that the hoof prints lead you in. You will then find another set of tracks, where you should continue to repeat the same pattern until you eventually find yourself in an open clearing in the northeastern part of Eternal Forest.

It is here that you will be confronted with the fearsome centaur-like creature, that, once defeated, will reward you with the chance to learn how to create a Lynel echo. Be warned, it’s a tough fight!

While it may be tempting to want to unlock the Lynel echo early in the game, the monster costs six Tri Points to create. This will require Tri to reach Level 9, which won’t be possible until much later in Princess Zelda’s adventure meaning that it’s something that’s worth rushing to do.
