Nintendo has announced that Luigi’s Mansion is now available to Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers on Nintendo Switch 2.
Just in time for Halloween, the game is playable through the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics app and now means that the whole series – Luigi’s Mansion, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and Luigi’s Mansion 3 – can be played on Nintendo Switch 2.
In Luigi’s Mansion, after winning a stately mansion, Luigi receives a ghastly surprise when he discovers that his magnificent prize is haunted by ghosts and Mario is nowhere to be found.
With help from Professor E. Gadd, Luigi is soon equipped with the Poltergust 3000 and Game Boy Horror device to capture ghosts and track his whereabouts in the mansion, as he sets out to save Mario from a frightening fate.
Further additions confirmed to come in the future include Chibi-Robo!, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Pokémon Colosseum, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness and Super Mario Sunshine.
Nintendo most recently revealed that Nintendo Switch Online now has more than 34 million subscribers.
The pricing plans for Nintendo Switch Online are £3.49 ($3.99) per month, £6.99 ($7.99) for three months or £17.99 ($19.99) for 12 months. There is a 12-month Family Membership for £31.49 ($34.99) that allows a Nintendo Account holder to “invite up to seven others to join a family group” that will all have access to Nintendo Switch Online.
Whereas an individual membership to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is priced at £34.99 ($49.99) for 12 months, with a Family Membership priced at £59.99 ($79.99).
