Showing awareness of their own unexpected Internet sensation, Nintendo Japan have made reference to the now infamous Luigi Death Stare in their new round of Mario Kart 8 advertising.
The 30 second clip, which is predominantly in slow motion, looks to capture the rivalry between the Mushroom Kingdom racers. That notably highlights the improved animations that Nintendo’s shift to the realms of high-definition have granted, and that now iconic glare that Luigi gives whenever he zips past an opponent.
