Nintendo have confirmed that Luigi will indeed be a playable character in Super Mario 3D Land.
Speculation regarding his inclusion began last month, when Nintendo unveiled a large piece of artwork for the game which teased Luigi’s appearance. Now it has been directly confirmed within the latest Iwata Asks column.

Super Mario 3D Land is due to release in Europe on November 18th.
