Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct saw the company take the opportunity to confirm a further character for next year’s Super Smash Bros. titles.
Whilst Luigi was always going to be a dead cert for the roster, global president Satoru Iwata announced the Italian plumber’s fighting return alongside Nintendo’s The Year of Luigi celebrations.
Although no gameplay footage was shown, the Super Smash Bros. official website has been updated with new screenshots of the cowardly hero in action.
