Nintendo’s countdown has ticked down, revealing Lucina and Robin as the latest fighters to enter the ring in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS.
The new playable characters appeared within 3DS exclusive Fire Emblem Awakening last year, and bring their respective skills to the fray as you’ll see within their reveal trailer below. The trailer, dubbed “By Book, Blade, and Crest of Flame,” presents each character in turn and references their spellcasting and swordsmanship in turn. Chrom similarly made an appearance toward the end of the trailer, although becomes involved through either character’s Final Smash.
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will release across Europe and North America on October 3rd, with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U scheduled to arrive in winter.
