Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced an open beta for their free-to-play Wii U exclusive, Lost Reavers.

The four-player co-op game challenges players to discover hidden treasure at the distant conclusion of treacherous dungeons, after which their team must haul it back to a designated extraction point. Traps, menacing enemies and tough bosses will do everything they can to prevent any progress, and you must rely on each other to succeed.

Players can choose to play as one of four characters, each with their own combat style, outlined by Bandai Namco as: Sayuri, a sword wielding modern day samurai; Dwayne, a heavy-weapon toting specimen of human artillery; Victoria, a svelte dual-wielding mistress of pistols and a mysterious masked fourth character who wields many weapons to cut down his foes.

Adventuring through Ancient Ruins, Modern City and Medieval Castle, players will uncover more powerful weapons, have chance to level their characters, and learn how to evade the traps that risk snaring them.

The Lost Reavers open beta will start on Thursday 14th April, with the full version to become available a fortnight later on Thursday 28th April.
