Funstock has opened pre-orders for its physical edition of Lord Winklebottom Investigates, which will be available for Nintendo Switch.
Cave Monsters classic murder mystery point-and-click adventure is set in the 1920s, in which you will join Lord Winklebottom – the world’s foremost dapper giraffe
detective – and his steadfast tea-drinking hippo companion Dr. Frumple. When an unexpected invitation to the isolated Isle of Barghest results in the grisly murder of their old friend, they must race against time to identify their killer.
Having taken inspiration from British literature icons like Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes, you must put your neck on the line – working to uncover clues, interrogate suspects and solve puzzles to crack the case, catch the killer and uncover the horrifying dark secret that lies at the heart of the island.
The developer has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- A classic British murder mystery: solve challenging puzzles to an original 1920s-inspired soundtrack in this tickling point-and-click adventure, complete with ‘full English’ voice acting.
- Meet the menagerie: encounter anthropomorphic creatures of all different shapes and sizes, from giddy goat maids to gardening slugs. Will you be able to best the killer’s animal instincts?
- Streamlined point-and-click gameplay: optimised yet old-school mechanics help you focus on hunting criminals, not pixels. Lead Lord Winklebottom’s investigation with satisfying and nostalgic console gameplay.
- Inspired by Agatha Christie and Arthur Conan Doyle: get ready for a ripping yarn as you interrogate a wild cast of eccentric characters, all embroiled in a mysterious plot inspired by classic British detective fiction.
Lord Winklebottom Investigates is now available digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide and will release at retail in September 2023.
