Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have unleashed a story trailer for LEGO Dimensions, revealing how they will pull together characters from worlds such as DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings, The LEGO Movie, Back to the Future, Doctor Who, Jurassic World and Ghostbusters.
We now learn that there is an ancient planet at the centre of the LEGO Multiverse, where it is said that he who controls the Foundational Elements will control all of the Multiverse.
Evil mastermind Lord Vortech wants to wield such power, summoning characters from a variety of LEGO worlds to help him uncover such building bricks of LEGO civilisation. While some have agreed, others have rebelled and only the combined powers of the LEGO heroes can prevent him from succeeding.
A powerful vortex initially brings together LEGO Batman, LEGO Gandalf and LEGO Wyldstyle, who will journey to locations and go up against villains that Lord Vortech has summoned to help him. As his power grows, worlds collide, unexpected characters meet and all boundaries are broken. The heroes will have to travel through space and time to rescue their friends before the vortexes destroy LEGO humanity itself.
LEGO Dimensions will release for Wii U in North America on September 27th, and in Europe on September 29th.
