Square Enix and Deck Nine Games have announced that Life Is Strange: True Colors is now available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.

Promising “a bold new era” for the award-winning series, the next game stars a new playable lead character in Alex Chen who has long suppressed her “curse.” She has the supernatural ability to experience, absorb and manipulate the strong emotions of others, which appear to her as coloured auras.

After her brother dies in a so-called accident, she must embrace her volatile power in an effort to discover the truth – something that results in her uncovering the dark secrets once buried by a small town.

The Nintendo Switch version has been “developed specifically for the Nintendo platform,” with the development team determined to create “the best possible native experience by optimizing visuals and performance.”

That process involved many technical changes that were made to the game, such as reworking every character model, environmental object and all foliage across the game, and completely rebuilding the lighting engine.

Life is Strange: True Colors is now available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide, with a physical release out on 25th February 2022.
