Square Enix has revealed that Dontnod Entertainment‘s award-winning Life Is Strange 2 will release on Nintendo Switch next month.

In this critically acclaimed narrative adventure, you play as the sixteen-year-old Sean Diaz who is growing up in the suburbs of Seattle. When your younger brother Daniel’s telekinetic powers are unleashed after a traumatic incident, you are forced to abandon your home and flee from the police.

You are not only solely responsible for Daniel’s safety, shelter, and well-being but how he grows to harness his newly discovered power as you journey across the United States in an effort to cross the border into Mexico.

Your decisions will influence both the game’s story and characters, as you experience life on the road – meeting new, interesting and sometimes dangerous people and situations when you step off the beaten path.

The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:

  • Award-winning storytelling
  • Daniel is always learning from Sean – and what you teach him has far-reaching consequences.
  • Stunning visuals and hand-painted textures.
  • Emotive original soundtrack from Jonathan Morali, composer of the original Life is Strange – plus licensed tracks from Phoenix, The Streets, Sufjan Stevens, Bloc Party, First Aid Kit, and more.

Life Is Strange 2 will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 2nd February 2023.
