Whilst it was Brent Waller’s Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary set project that was successfully approved as part of LEGO CUUSOO’s Fall 2013 Review, we can now be excited for potential Nintendo-related success within the next wave to be considered.

Wes Talbott’s Legend of Zelda: Iron Knuckle Encounter will be considered within the Winter 2014 LEGO Review results, with an announcement expected to be made in late Spring. We spied his Ocarina of Time-inspired submission earlier in the year, so it’s great that it has now entered the review process.

The process, which requires projects to achieve 10,000 votes before they are submitted to the LEGO Review Board, has proved a popular one, and has led to Minecraft, Back to the Future and Curiosity Rover sets being created over the past year.

Talbott’s concept is up against those inspired by BBC’s Sherlock, Macross VF-1 Valkyrie, Japanese old style architecture, Adventure Time, and a large-scale DeLorean from Back to the Future.
