Square Enix has revealed that the PlayStation JRPG classic Legend of Mana has been remastered for release on Nintendo Switch.

Coming to Europe for the first time, this fourth entry in the Mana franchise sees you set out on a journey to discover the mystical Mana Tree that the game’s protagonist saw in a dream, only to soon discover that the world map is empty.

You must acquire special artifacts on your adventure that, once placed on the world map using the Land Creation system, will restore life to the missing towns and dungeons. Each player will progress through the story differently based on their choices, allowing for “a more personal and unique gameplay experience.”

Now on the way to Nintendo Switch with remastered visuals, a rearranged soundtrack and the Ring Ring Land mini-game, you will confront fearsome monsters in real-time combat and have the chance to explore the world of Fa’Diel.

In the remaster, you will have the option to switch between the original and rearranged soundtracks, turn off enemy encounters, explore the Gallery and Music mode and there is an autosave feature that will let you “save almost anywhere from the options menu.”

Legend of Mana will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 24th June 2021.
