Nintendo and LEVEL-5 have announced that Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy Deluxe Edition will release on Nintendo Switch in the coming months.
Professor Hershel Layton has gone missing. It’s up to his daughter Katrielle – a smart and spirited young lady with a knack of uncovering the truth in spite of paltry evidence – to work out what’s happened.
She’ll team up with a young student called Ernest Greeves who acts as her assistant, and Sherl, a talking dog who begins as Katrielle’s first client but soon becomes her sidekick.
This Deluxe Edition has more than 40 new puzzles and others that have been modified from the Nintendo 3DS version, as well as the chance to play with either button or motion controls – whether you’re playing on the portable home console in TV Mode or Handheld Mode.
It also comes with all previously released downloadable content unlocked from the start, such as the Daddy’s Girl and Luke Lookalike outfits, as well as more than 50 new outfits.
We enjoyed our time with the Nintendo 3DS version, writing in our review: “Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy may have a new detective on its cover but still delivers the same experience we’ve come to know and love of the series.
“The puzzles may not be as strong, nor the story as satisfying, but there’s still fun to be had here for any problem solver out there looking for another chance to test their brain once more.”
Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy Deluxe Edition will release for Nintendo Switch in North America on November 8th, and across Europe on November 11th.
