Details regarding the latest Nintendo 3DS system update, to be available on April 25th, have been announced during tonight’s Nintendo Direct presentation.

This will introduce patch support, and the ability to create folders on the Nintendo 3DS’s home menu that enables you to organise installed software.

Each folder has the capability to store up to sixty icons, and may be named with the first character appearing as the folder’s graphic.

In regards to patches, these will be released through the Nintendo eShop with Mario Kart 7, New Love Plus and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance being the first to receive such support.

The patch for Mario Kart 7, set for May, will fix short cut glitches that are being exploited during online multiplayer.
