Lady Layton Will Solve Mystery Cases On Nintendo 3DS In 2017

LEVEL-5’s puzzle adventure masterpiece returns, although not entirely as you know it. The Professor Layton series has sold more than 15.5 million units worldwide, and, announced at LEVEL-5 Vision 2016, it will continue with Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy.

Destined for Nintendo 3DS, iOS and Android, this will see the main character switch to Professor Layton’s daughter Katrielle Layton. Kat will be accompanied in her adventures with many brand new characters, and LEVEL-5 note that the story will shift focus away from dynamic problem-solving and more on solving multiple mystery cases observed in the everyday lives of Londoners.

That change promised a faster tempo and more comical tone, while the creators of the puzzles and brain-teasers will be new after Japanese psychologist Akira Tago passed away earlier in the year.

Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy will release for Nintendo 3DS, iOS and Android in Japan in spring 2017, and targets a western release in 2017.
