Rainy Frog, gudouan and DICO have confirmed that Kwaidan: Azuma Manor Story will release on Nintendo Switch next month.

Set in 1930s Japan, this experience has looked to combine 3D action-horror with a point-and-click adventure. That will see you explore the old Azuma Manor rigged with traps and puzzles, that has become overrun with devilish Yoki.

With no guns, you will come to rely on traditional weapons such as naginata, magatama and a mirror that releases a deadly aura to defend yourself, in your efforts to save the Azuma family.

Taking inspiration from the classic games of the early 2000s, you can expect movie reel-style presentation and the chance to choose between Origin Mode for authentic “tank-style” controls or Modern Mode to use standard movement and a subtle cel-shaded look.

Kwaidan: Azuma Manor Story will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in August 2020 priced at £19.99 ($24.99).
