PQube and Art Co. Ltd have released a new gameplay trailer for Kotodama: The 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa, which will soon release on Nintendo Switch.

This has revealed the puzzle-battle system that, alongside the traditional visual novel experience, must be used to confront the suspects of Fujisawa Academy.

That will see you gather clues to level up elements in the puzzle battles, where you must match them and rack up combos to fill the Happy Gauge. As sections of the gauge become full, a layer of clothes will be stripped from your opponent.

There are Challenge Points to earn by exposing your opponent’s elemental weakness, which will grant you more moves. But, challenge incorrectly, and they will retaliate with their signature Hindrance Attack – making them tougher to beat.

It was also revealed that you can enter Fantasize Mode in the main character’s bedroom, where you can practise your techniques to unlock alternative sets of underwear for the whole cast of characters.

Nothing is as it seems in Kotodama: The 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa, a high school visual novel, where, after making a pact with the demon fox Mon-chan, you are bestowed with the power to see the truth behind the lies that surround Fujisawa Academy.

Every pupil at this educational institution hides a dark secret, and, with your new ability, you must infiltrate the secretive academy to and uncover such sinister truths.

Those that buy a physical copy at retail will receive a set of art cards and collection of stickers, and, at selected retailers, you can get a keyring of the demon fox Mon-chan.

Kotodama: The 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa will release for Nintendo Switch in Europe on May 31st, and in North America on June 4th.
