Kotick: Wii U is “a very exciting announcement”

Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, has commented his belief that Nintendo’s announcement today of the Wii U was “a very exciting announcement.”

Such comments were made during an interview with CNBC, that was aired ahead of Nintendo’s E3 Media Presentation.

“I think it’s a very exciting announcement,” Kotick began. “I think one of the things that Nintendo does exceptionally well is thinking about the user experience.”

He continues, “Without giving away any details about what you’re about to see, I think they’ve moved the user experience forward in a way that is unexpected and then you’re going to see a very high level graphics and high quality audio. So, the things that they didn’t do as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, they now do exceptionally well in terms of graphics, plus this new and interesting user interface.”
