Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker‘s producer Koichi Hayashida has shared his hope that the Wii U exclusive’s intrepid hero has a future at Nintendo.
Hayashida shared that he has already emailed Mario Kart 8 director Kosuke Yabuki to see if Captain Toad could get behind the wheel, although apparently hadn’t had any response by the time he was interviewed.
“At this stage we don’t know [what’s in Captain Toad’s future],” Hayashida explained to GamesMaster magazine. “I personally want to see him featured in a variety of games. I’ve even ‘secretly’ emailed the director of Mario Kart to see if he’d consider including Captain Toad, but I haven’t heard back from him yet!”
