Koei Tecmo CEO and president Yoichi Erikawa has praised the Nintendo Switch concept, in allowing players to enjoy games anytime, anywhere and with anyone.

His comments came at the company’s financial results briefing, where he had shared that the multiplatform engine that they widely use to develop games now allows them to work across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

He believes that Nintendo Switch will succeed and wants Koei Tecmo to support it. We know that Omega Force is developing Fire Emblem Warriors, but Erikawa added that the company is also working on other Nintendo Switch exclusive projects.

With plans to release a steady stream of games on Nintendo Switch, that can be more easily seen in Japan where Koei Tecmo has released Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence with Power-Up Kit and Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII with Power-Up Kit.

In looking to the future, their next games will be Fire Emblem Warriors, Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon, and Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi.
