SEGA has released new gameplay footage from Sonic Mania, starring Knuckles the Echidna as he glides and clambers his way through Flying Battery Zone Act 1.
Despite suffering a late delay, SEGA have positioned the game as “the ultimate celebration of past and future” in bringing together Genesis-era Sonic platforming with new Zones, Hard-Boiled Heavies bosses and three playable character.
They hope that Sonic Mania will revisit what had first made Sonic great, while blazing a trail in every Zone at 60 frames-per-second.
Sonic Mania will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch this summer.
