Nintendo and HAL Laboratory have announced that Kirby’s Return To Dream Land Deluxe is coming to Nintendo Switch, news that was shared in this week’s Nintendo Direct presentation.

This has seen the developer remaster the 2011 Wii classic – which was known as Kirby’s Adventure Wii in Europe – for the portable home console.

After Magolor’s ship crashlands on Planet Popstar, you will have the chance to float and fight alongside friends locally on the same system to recover the missing pieces.

In this platforming adventure for up to four players, each player can play as a Kirby or one of his iconic friends such as King Dedede, Meta Knight and Bandana Waddle Dee. With the power to copy your enemies’ abilities, you can attack with a sword, wield a whip, float with a parasol and more, with the new Mecha Copy Ability letting you unleash a laser blast.

You are also free to take a break from your adventure to participate in subgames against your friends such as Samurai Kirby and new additions like Magolor’s Tome Trackers.

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 24th February 2023.
