Kirby series director Shinya Kumazaki took to the stage at the wonderful Kirby 30th Anniversary Music Fest to reveal that Hoshi no Kābī will receive an HD remaster later this year.
Known to western audiences as Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, the animated series ran for 100 episodes from 2001 to 2003. It later went on to make a return appearance on the Kirby TV Channel, within Kirby’s Dream Collection for Wii and through the Nintendo Anime Channel on Nintendo 3DS.
There wasn’t much else to the reveal aside from the news that the high-definition remaster will be made available as a Blu-ray BOX in Japan. HAL Laboratory has promised to share more details in the future, but, for now, it is unclear whether there are any plans to release this around the world.
Hoshi no Kābī HD will release at retailers across Japan in Winter 2022.
