Rolling into view later than North America, Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush will at last launch in Europe tomorrow.
Nintendo have treated us to a colourfully vibrant launch trailer, showcasing plenty of gameplay footage, the rewards that you can unlock by gathering collectibles and additional timed challenges that will lengthen your playtime. Kirby’s transformations are also spotlighted, as well as the game’s compatibility with the Kirby, Meta Knight and King Dedede amiibo.
We enjoyed Kirby’s new adventure, our review, where we concluded: “But Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush’s largest crime is not making the most out of the playful, clay world that the pink hero finds himself in. Where Kirby’s Epic Yarn had us interacting with our surroundings, Rainbow Paintbrush simply has us rolling through it which comes as a disappointment in creativity. There can be no argument against this being one of the most wondrous-looking games to grace the Wii U, it just falls short of matching that with an as endearing gameplay experience.”
