During a Nintendo 3DS Press Conference earlier today, CEO Satoru Iwata has confirmed that Kid Icarus: Uprising will release within the first quarter of 2012.
Apologising to fans for the delay, Iwata explained that more time had been required for development than anticipated.
Making up for such a fact, he then announced a collaboration with animation studios Production I.G., Studio 4C and Shaft, who will produce original 3D animation shorts based upon the series that will then be distributed through the Nintendo eShop for free worldwide.
